The Foundation

The Inspir’ Foundation is a family foundation created and incorporated in the Geneva Trade Register on December 17th, 2020, it happens to be the same day of its founder’s birthday, one of life’s great coincidence.

It is subject to the Cantonal Supervisory Authority for Foundations and Provident Institutions of Geneva (ASFIP) and has been recognized as being of public utility.

Our Mission

The objective of the Inspir’ Foundation is to promote education in the broad sense, notably in Geneva. Therefore, its objective is to finance or support projects in the field of training in general, but also various activities related to music and arts as well as any other activity of a training nature.

To this end, the Foundation would, for example, create or support schools, conservatories, orphanages; participate in or develop educational projects in all areas intended by its purpose; contribute to the construction of artistic centers; support young artists throughout their integration into professional life or develop partnerships with any institution sharing the same objectives as the Foundation itself.

The Foundation does not pursue any political, religious, or lucrative purposes.

About

The words of Malala Yousafzai during her speech at the United Nations « A child, a teacher, a book, a pencil can change the world » express in a few words the absolute and vital necessity to grant everyone access to Education, “an essential human right” according to Kofi Annan.

Creating the Foundation and naming it Inspir’ humbly responds to this aspiration.

Inspiration

Reading the Native Amerindian legend, choosing the hummingbird as the emblem of the Foundation was our first source of inspiration, imagining this little bird busy putting out a terrible fire ravaging its forest with a few drops of water, just trying to do its part, to the limits of its own humble capacity, reminds us of the importance of taking action even if sometimes the magnitude of the cause is beyond us.

The apostrophe, silent and inspiring comma, imposed in a musical score, convinced us to finalize Inspir’ with this typographic sign, a time that stops in order to breathe, to become aware and do the best that we can, in harmony with the 4th Toltec agreement of Miguel Ruiz
